The same infrastructure — data in, identity out — applies across product categories. What changes per sector is the information that matters and the service built on top of it.
Maturity differs per sector. Fashion and textiles is where our evidence is strongest; elsewhere we work from pilots and the same underlying infrastructure.

Our strongest evidence base: product transparency, materials and care information, and the identity that makes returns and resale workable.

Protective equipment carries documentation and certification for its whole service life — and needs to be identifiable at inspection.

Materials, origin and care information travel with the pair; authenticity and resale value depend on being able to recognise it.

Long-lived products where provenance, spare parts and repair information outlast every sales channel they passed through.

Material transparency and care guidance at the point where the customer actually needs it, plus circular services on the same identity.

A battery passport is set out in the EU Batteries Regulation. The same identity carries lifecycle history and state information.

Documentation, spare parts and service history attached to the unit rather than to a manual nobody kept.

Ingredient transparency and batch information customers can check themselves, with authenticity and packaging circularity alongside.

Origin, lot traceability and the producer’s own story on the pack — the clearest case where identity is bought for engagement, not regulation. In specialty coffee, each roast or lot connects to its farm, its producer and the person drinking it.

Ingredient and batch transparency where trust is the purchase decision — and where a recall has to reach the right lots.

Specifications and documentation that must still be findable at renovation or demolition, decades after installation.

Goods that can identify themselves move better. The same carrier that opens a passport also tells a warehouse, a carrier or a returns desk exactly what it is handling.
Nothing in the platform is specific to a product category. If a physical product benefits from a persistent digital identity, Quifactum can potentially power it — the work is agreeing what information matters and which identity level fits.
The ESPR establishes the framework for Digital Product Passports; the product groups it covers, the information they must carry and the dates that apply are set through delegated acts. Batteries are governed separately under the EU Batteries Regulation. We do not publish sector deadlines until the applicable act is adopted.
